veryone has a right to his or her own opinion. But there are times when your actions can land you in some serious hot water and you may find yourself up a proverbial creek without a paddle. Behold, a list of things you might not want to do if you want to retain your friendships.
Don’t overshare. Look we get it. You had the most AH-MAZING wedding, gave birth to the cutest baby, or went on the sweetest vacation. Upload a few pictures and you’ll likely get a lot more likes and comments than if you were to create a new photo album with 800 unedited photographs.
Don’t be THAT GUY. We all know at least one person who comments on every status and likes every update. Think about how weird that would be if applied in an everyday situation. The same holds true online.
Don’t get into Facebook fights. Believe it or not, this is actually a very common occurrence and there are users who love to put in their two cents whenever possible on politics, parenting, the weather, you name it. Not only is it not attractive, it’s not a great way to make friends or practice common social etiquette.
Post a really vague status update. Spit it out if you have news to share! Posting things like “I can’t believe what just happened” will only make you a target for a serious ass whooping.
Stop with the selfie overload. Maybe one of your resolutions was to lose weight in the new year or run in a marathon or participate in a pie-eating contest. Whatever it is, we don’t need daily headshots. New haircut? Okay, you can upload ONE picture.
Profess your love publicly. We are happy for you, but that doesn’t mean we want it clogging up our newsfeeds. And who likes PDAs anyway??
